Have A Nice Day

This blog has been a while in the making. At Andrea's memorial we played a cassette tape of Andrea singing when she was 16. I just loved it. When I met Andrea I would go to church with her on Wednesday night and hear her sing. I have fond memories of sitting in that church watching her on the stage in a pretty dress singing. She would look at me and I was so proud of her and I was in love with her. I was amazed her faith then as I was everyday with her. Anyway since then I have been trying to get the songs transferred into the computer and onto the blog. After two weeks and about $300.00 at Best Buy I have completed the task.

Get ready, Andrea has a little Texas accent when she sings. But this is the girl that grew into the woman of faith we all witnessed. It was in this small church in Wichita Falls that Andrea learned to love the Lord and was blessed with child like faith. Now that this is done I will start posting some of her journal entries. The sound quality is not too good but it is almost 30 yrs old. The pictures are random ones from our old photo albums that I scanned into the computer. Yes there are some scary ones of me with hair! And yes I know we looked really young when we got married, but when you know it's the right thing to do, why wait.

Hope you like it.

  3. Jim...........The slide show with Andrea singing is truly wonderful! Those of us that knew and loved Andrea find much comfort in being able to connect with her through your creative efforts. It is a blessing to be able to pull up the blog, listen to her voice and see all the many sides of her in photographs. Oddly, her voice through song still seems to be witnessing to us. As I listened and watched it felt as if she were personally telling me I could "move that mountain" in my life! She continues to inspire us with her faith and draw us closer to God through your work on the blog. Thank you, Jim!!!

  4. I listened to her sing and the songs have been stuck in my head since last night. And couldn't have happened on a better day- after a frustrating and stressful meeting, I could hear her singing "move that mountain". When my staff asked me what I was singing and why I was smiling - it gave me an opportunity to share great memories of Andrea. It's so great to hear Andrea singing in Praise!

    Love to all,
    E

  5. James, thank you so much for putting that together with her music. It is wonderful. I love seeing her back then and now. Kaitlyn has the tape of Jokie singing and she listens to it over and over all the time. Jenn

  6. That was so cool. It gave new meaning to the verse of how God "turns our mourning into singing". I heard the recording for the first time Saturday morning; as I was sleeping I heard this singing coming from the kitchen and I thought "what are they playing on Radio Shema?". When I walked into the kitchen there was Haluk bee bopping and smiling. He said "IT'S ANDREA!!!". We both just listened smiling picturing her with Jesus and us with the same Jesus. What a blessing! Thank you Jim, love Haluk and Wendy
